My number one goal for you in visiting HelpfulAdvisor.com is to receive absolute value in the information provided.  As this information is deemed extremely valuable by at least the authors of the articles in this site, there is no charge and no barrier to entry to obtain this information.

As there are costs needed to keep a website going, and the valuable content flowing, this site is supported by both advertisements and affiliate links.   At some point when I become really famous and not just playing air guitar in front of my bathroom mirror, I may even be approached by companies with free stuff and trips to certain events.  (Deep sigh), although that hasn’t happened yet, it still could.

With all that said, there is such a thing as ethical advertising.  To me, ethical advertising means that the products and services being advertised, reviewed, reported about, or even shared, would be products and services that I as the website’s owner feel would be helpful to you in some way.  In other words, relevant to your quest to find online and offline success.

Getting to where I am now was not a free ride, and yes, I did have to buy some products and services, and still do.  Therefore, if I’m sharing with you the same tools I use to get me where I am, wouldn’t it make sense that you would in turn, use the same tools?  Ok, now let’s add in the fact that I might make a few dollars if you were to buy a product based on my recommendation.  Well, that would cover the costs it takes to keep HelpfulAdvisor.com up and running.

It’s highly doubtful that the monies I would make as a result of running HelpfulAdvisor.com, which has been a labor of love for several years, would be enough for me and the family to retire to some villa off the coast of France.  For now, we’re very content being suburbanites in a fairly large Texas city.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that my advertisers don’t buy my endorsements, my belief in the product provides the endorsements.  In terms of general advertising via banners and ad squares, however, that space may be purchased for a fee, but it has to be relevant to the site’s central theme: Helping you leverage every day technology to explode your business profits.

Can I make any guarantees that using any of these products will result in success beyond your wildest dreams?  Absolutely, I cannot.  Just as no one would guarantee me any level of success for me, I cannot for you.  What I can do, however, is point you in the right direction, provide experience and insight, and wish for your highest success that would surpass even my own.
