A Holiday Message From the Heart
As we are all of different faiths, and different backgrounds, the one thing I believe we have in common is our power of compassion. To me, there is no religion that defines the level of worthiness for this basic human strength, either giving or receiving, of compassion to one another. Yet, it might not always seem so apparent, does it?
In the rush of the season, with crowded malls and preparations for family gatherings, it’s easy to let the stress of wanting everything perfect to get in the way of what it’s really for. And that is, being together, enjoying one another, and giving thanks as well as praise on both an earthly and spiritual level.
I’ve spent Christmas in a war zone, and other times I’ve had many, many great holidays over my life as well. However, this one is hard, because we’ve had a loss in the family this week, and it’s been hard to take. And yet, as we celebrate the life of the one we lost, there is a lesson here; one that I hope I never forget.
No one should ever love in vain. No life should ever be considered a waste. If we can all appreciate one another, respect each other and learn from each other, in the end we can say we were all brothers and sisters, and that together, we made this world a better place.
And with that, brothers and sisters, I wish you peace, prosperity, joy, and health. I hope you are with those you love, and if not, that they know how much you care. I look forward to a fantastic new year for you and your loved ones.
Blessings,
-Jay

Dear Jay,
I am sorry to hear about your loss, we also had a loss literally a couple of days ago a nephew just 14 yrs of Pneumonia, It’s a terrible thing.
Compassion is the thing, sadly in the modern world so many people seem to only care about ‘Me’ and that’s so sad. Compassion costs nothing just a little bit of time.
Hi Alan, thank you for your words. I too, am sorry for your loss as well. It is a sad state of affairs that compassion seems to be in short supply these days. Perhaps working to help one another in small ways can lead up to big changes. That is my hope for the new year. Happy New Year to you and everyone reading HelpfulAdvisor.com!
I always appreciate you stopping by, Alan!
